The diagram with figurines shows one rank too many. There should be 11, agreeing with the ascii one.

The game is played on a 4X11 board, which gives us 44 squares.
I noticed that contest variants tend to be quite complex (probably why
the
main category demands computerised play), so I decided to make a variant
which could be understood and played on the fly.
