Triangular chess is specifically designed to be played with three players and utilize the interesting dynamics which result from this scenario. Due to the fact that the movements of the pieces are slightly modified for use with a triangular board, the sheer volume of moves can actually be somewhat overwhelming at times. However, the alliances, backstabbing, and other such complications are worth the effort of study. Rooks and knights are colorbound, bishops aren't.
