Just one last thing: I wrote that I had 'never seen anything like my diplomat piece (...) anywhere', well, now I must admit I have found something that (very faintly) resembles it: the 'Cleopatra' in Cleopatra Chess (I think I remember it could somehow make opponent pieces pass to her side, and the game called it 'seducing' enemy pieces, which sounds much more poetic than 'suborning'). Anyway I still believe my dear Diplomat is something original that works much differently.
