No Stress Chess

In this commercial chess variant, a standard set of chess board and pieces is complemented with a set of cards. Most cards show a piece and a diagram where the moves of the piece are illustrated. The set has a chess board with two sides: one side shows the board as usual, while at the other side, the squares at the first and last two rows show with names which pieces start the game at these sides.

The purpose of the cards is twofold: they can help to learn the moves of the various chess pieces to beginners of the game, and they can be used to play a variant where cards determine with what piece one makes a move.

The game is produced by Winning Moves Games, a game company from the US. A set, including pieces, the two-sided board, and cards was offered for 18.95 US dollars early 2012.
