So I tried to give the image some atomic flavor by illustrating what would disappear on a capture.

Can I rather send you a screenshot of Lichess game moment with capture? Lichess permits its parts’ displaying even in commercial uses.

This is position from one of my 2298 games (not counting previous accounts with 4000+ played games). I think this image better covers the case of terminating player’s own pieces.

Other reason is that current image on the main page denoting Atomic Chess shows the move which ultimately leads to the lost game (via …Qf6 then 1. f3 Qd4 …# or 2. Kd1 Nd4 c3 Ne2 …#), which isn’t quite good.
