That html page has a a-href under the "Computer Play" section that sent me to the wrong url.

I designed these games a while back, and I think Fergus reviewed at least 1 of them.  I think I made the changes that Fergus requested.  (Instructions on how to play) I was hoping these games could be added to the "search alphabetical index" under the "po" section.  The instruction on how to play are at:

This is just an observation.  From the munu bar (under your id) click "your games on Game Courier"  this will jump you to logs.php.  If you look at Game logs and open invations.  There are logs named -Vernon Parton-number  I think this is some type of issue.  Based on another comment thread, I think that type of log gets created when you do a "invite" and you attempt to invite another user.  I had this happen to me and I deleted the log.  For me it is not a major issue, because 99% of the time I do open invitations. 

After you login you have a menu with a drop down.  The menu is your ID.  If you hover the cursor on your ID, you get sub-menus "personal information" "your games on game Courier", and one time, maybe 3 weeks ago. I am guessing there was another sub-menu.  Why?  At one time in the near past I was working on creating games like "Princess_and_Frogs" or was it "Frogs_and_princess"?  That beta game seems to have been lost. 

The sub-panel under your ID at one time had some menu item that allowed you to get to

your beta/games.

Fergus I think you have some games beta games like this called "Test" or something like that. 

I seem to no longer know how to get to my "beta/test" games.  Perhaps it was cleaned out when we went to the new version of PHP???

I was doing some tests, and I found this: 

1) I was playing shogi agains myself via the play button

2) I was using the symbolic set

3) I move the king pawns forward (both sides) until there is a capture

4) I move the rook in front of the king

5) I slide the rook to the promotion area

6) I prompt comes up "do you want to promote the rook ( +r-dest)  I think"

7) I click the radio button for yes, and then hit play

8) a warning comes up you are about to send insecure information do you want to continue

Note: all urls from step 1-6 are https

9) some time of crash occurs and I get a default chess program at step 0

My best guess the "prompt" command is using http and not https.

I can send all my shogi moves if you want a log.

I attempted to move a square in voidrider chess.  My 1st move e2-e1; -e2  

I think that is legal based on the game rules but I am getting a banned input error

In the picture above the black cannon at f12 is putting the white king in check.  Is that correct for a standard cannon movement? If no, I have to fix some code.  I went to piece-o-pedia and the cannon must jump a screen for the attack.  Am I correct with the following statements:

1) the white king is not in check

2) the black cannon at f12 can not attack anything due to a mess of black pieces in front of it.

3) the white cannon at g1 can take cannon g12

I think I am correct, but I want to check with my fellow chess players to confirm that I understand the cannon capture move.

The rules have been updated for elephant, cannon, and Pawns.

I am interested in the tournament also.  Adding my two cents .... What about Shako-Balbo for a possible Variant?

You can seen all the active and Invatations.  I noticed that there a few or several games that no one has made a move in over 100 days.  It might be too much work ... perhaps we can make a rule for untimed games ... If you do not move in 100 days, you loose that game. 

For the most part 99.9% of the people here are dedicated in making their moves in a timely fashon.  Once in a while a person starts to loose and rather than resign they leave the game in limbo waiting on their turn forever.

Based on my analysis it looks like andrewthepawn has not made any moves in over 300 days.

It most likely is not a big deal to the web site, but if I was playing someone and they disappeared, it would bother me.  This is not any issue at CV, but me being anal retentive. 

The Queen as a royal makes it harder to get it into checkmate IMO.  Making the chancellor royal would make it even harder to obtain checkmate.  Imagine the queen on rank 8, and 2 enemy rooks on rank 8 and 7.  The queen can attack the rook on rank 8, and the rook on rank 7 is acting as a barrier so that the queen must stay on rank 8.  If the rook on rank 8 is protected it is checkmate.  If we replace the queen with chancellor, the chancellor can escape with a horse movement to rank 6.  I think if you made the chancellor a royal, a lot of games would be drawn, due to lack of pieces to make a check, or the 50 move rule.  A royal chancellor has an improved ability to escape and move out of checkmate.

Tough Question.  I could see the 2nd move being "pass", and if Marseillas is a mandatory 2 move game per person, it is a strong arguement that it is a stalemate.  You are the programmer to the game, I would pick the one Fergus Likes, and make sure it is mentioned in the rules.
