How exactly do the reserves come onto the board?  Also, you need to confirm with Mr. Seirawan and Harper whether or not they would allow any adaptations of it in any other place besides where they want.

You are free to end up doing my IAGO Chess if you like, in its many varieties.

Before you castle you have to move two pieces at least. That means to me,
you have already defeated your right to insert them.

Spengler, whenever a piece moves from its initial square, the player is
free to insert an extraneous piece, if he so wishes. If he moves all pieces
from their initial squares without introducing any of the extraneous
pieces, then he has forfeited his right to introduce them. 

Castling is a double move, when the king moves from its initial square and
the rook moves from its initial square. So it is essentially the same as
all the other moves, except that here the player has a choice. He can place
an extraneous piece on either the corner square or the king square. I see
no problem in the description of the rules.

When castling players should have 7 choices:

1) Drop Chancellor on e1/e8
2) Drop Chancellor on h1/h8
3) Drop Archbishop on e1/e8
4) Drop Archbishop on h1/h8
5) Drop Chancellor on e1/e8 and Archbishop on h1/h8
6) Drop Archbishop on e1/e8 and Chancellor on h1/h8
7) Not to drop neither

So, Mats, I suggest you to introduce the two extra choices in the preset codification.

That is not true. The official rules of S-Chess say you can only gate one piece per move. And you must not 'pass through check' between moving and dropping, i.e. you cannot gate something with a pinned piece, even though the piece you are gating will block the check.

I never claimed that one can gate more than one piece per time. I don't know what is so unclear with my description of the rules. Just follow the correct rules and play on my preset. It works fine. /Mats
