Some of my older drawn games here can no longer be viewed, including a Mir Chess 32 game and a Mir Chess 36 game (quoted below).
This preset will enforce rules and spot check, checkmate, and stalemate. BANNED INPUT: drawn on turn 54: The drawn command has been banned from user input here. Go back and try again. What is otherwise valid user input in Game Courier can be banned in a GAME Code program for the sake of better enforcing the rules. See 'Restricting User Input' in the Game Courier Developer's Guide for details on how this is done. If you believe that your input should not have been banned, contact Fergus Duniho or whoever programmed the rules for this game.
It seems this concerns the automated games in which one of the players has castled. The Shako games and the Ultima games are okay, but the Falcon Chess games and the Chess on a Longer Board games are not, and my GCT1 Anti-King Chess game against Roberto Lavieri (who castled in that game) also does not open. The View command doesn't work. There are (were?) also some problems with choosing a piece set.
I'm getting this error message in my active games: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: userid_name() in /home/chessva/public_html/play/pbm/form_move.php on line 161 This includes timed and tournament games.
The matter that Joe Joyce mentioned is fixed for now. When the database server wasn't working earlier this morning, I modified Game Courier to not require userid.php for some things that don't use it, so that I could still do some thing with it while games couldn't be played. But I guess I didn't do it perfectly. So I have simply undone what I did until I can make the modifications more precisely. I will attend to the drawn command later, as I must go to work soon.
The View form now works. What problems are there with selecting a piece set?
My mistake. I had to fix the preset for Large Nahbi Chess (by rewriting alfnahbi which Uri Bruck had inadvertently deleted). The problem is simply that alfnahbi isn't referenced by sets.php yet.
