They'll get their prizes when I get off my lazy rear end and send them out! :)
I am preparing two games for the contest, but the ZRF's are not ready yet. May be in two or three weeks, more or less. I´ll send my games once I have finished the ZRF´s and tested the games, making the final adjusts and re-testing, if necessary. The prizes?. Well, if someone offers prizes, it is expected that winners can get the prizes, but I have not read WHEN.
Have anyone noted that Symmetron!44 (Fourrière-Lavieri) is competing?. I can´t say it is going to win (other games in the contest are very good), but I think it is not so bad for being absolutely ignored. Please, actualize this page.
Has anyone e-mailed Hans (who is, after all, the first round judge and the person who maintains this page) that Symmetron!44 is a competing entry?
I´m expecting more games in competence (are Horus and Prisoneer Scape in?). the deadline is April 21. Designers, send your contributions!
Are Horus and Prisoner´s Escape competing?. If so, these games are not still in the list...
Yes, Prisoner's Escape and Horus are competing entries. Strange, I e-mailed Hans about it a few weeks ago. Also, any games sent in before the deadline are considered in time, even if they haven't been put up yet.
I didn't receive the emails on these new entries. I've added them now...
You guys got my entries (and non-entry), right?
We got them Jared. They'll get up someday soon.
I wonder why there are so few entries for this contest.
There are several submissions that still must be added to the contest page.
Please, have a little patience.

However, our mailbox had a problem, as it run out of space. Please look at
the size of the files you are sending. We received two files of over 1
megabyte size, by two different submitters. Files of this size cannot be
put on the website: it uses too much of our webspace and most readers will
not be able to download them. (I still have internet connection with a
normal telephone, and there are many more such people on this world!)

In case you got an error message when submitting your game, please send
it
again, but now to the email address of me you can find at
www.cs.uu.nl/staff/hansb.html
.

If you missed the deadline because of such a problem, send the game
a.s.a.p. to us; we'll accept such entries for a number a days.
We have yet unposted submissions from the following people at the very least:

Erez Schatz

Sitting in the queue at the general pool at chessvariants.com -- this does not count entries that may have been sent to individual editors or entries that did not indicate that they were 44-square contest entries on their subject line (they are not required to -- but that's how I just compiled my list).

We will be working on them as time permits, but we, the editors, all have busy lives away from the CVP, and time is often at a premium.

Pete, you might want to send yours in again just to be on the safe side.
I think I'll skip the contest this year. I haven't had any fresh game ideas suited for a small board, and I still have plenty of other things to work on.
Dear Editors, Should I send you another copy of my submission? I only ask, because most of my day I'm at work, and I don't get home until a little before midnight. Sorry, to be a pest, I understand you too are busy with work. Thank you gentlemen. Sincerely Peter Leyva
Peter, I still don't see anything -- where exactly are you sending it? Mind you, if you are sending it to a specific editor, it will be forwarded to their home e-mail address. Have you tried [email protected]? We seem to be receiving e-mail from other people. Did it perhaps have very large attachments?
Can entrants vote for their own games in the second round? I would assume not, but I may be wrong.
Epsilon Eridani, a game played on a 44 squares board that I sent a few days ago, is a NON-competing entry to the Contest. The main reason is because I have Hexetera competing and Antoine and me are the authors of Symmetron!44. Epsilon Eridani is based basically on Achernar, with some differences (Achernar is the name of the blue star Alpha of Eridani, Epsilon Eridani is a yellow star in the same constellation. Epsilon Eridani is an interesting star, it is almost sure that at least one planet orbits the star), although the game play is very different. The board size adds clarity to the game, so calculations are easy, this is not the case in Achernar. Nevertheless, the E.E. game play is nice and very interesting, at least I think so, and I hope that the community can enjoy this out-of-competence game.
Pete, I'll send it to you. I have been sending it to [email protected]. I don't believe it has a big attachment, just simple instructions. Sincerely Pete
Pete, I just sent it to you, did you receive it? Peter Leyva
Thanks, Mike!. Epsilon Eridani is a non-competing entry.
Peter, Thank you, for your time and help. I got my submission to David Howe. Sincerely Pete Leyva
Hi David H. , Have you currently had a chance to go over my submission for the 44 square contest. Pete Leyva
Apart from my non-competing entry, Epsilon Eridani, I think there are some other entries that have not been posted yet, isn´t it ?
