Seems you are monitoring the What's New list; beware that this only reports updates of pages created by the Post Your Own Game submission system, which stores the articles in a database. Older pages existing as html files, which can only be modified by through ftp access to the server by editirs, would never appear there.
The reason for the current flurry of updates is that I added Interactive Diagrams to articles in the E-G range, also for many old pages.
I did figure that out a wee while ago, but thanks for the notification all the same.
I still want to find an FZ piece to correspond with this Goshawk, though. ;)
The FZ is not a very good piece in my opinion because the zebra can reach F squares in two moves anyway!
Then maybe if there's no FZ already in place, it can be something unlikely, like a Chihuahua.
Sorcerer Chess (2008) has (Wazir+Zebra) and (Ferz+Camel) pieces.
Charles Daniel also created Herculean Chess (2008) with the Ferz-Sorcerer (FZ), the Wazir-Sorcerer (WZ) and the Sorcerer Knight (NZ).
I was already aware of the Sorcerer (WZ); the Wizard (FC) and Okapi (NZ) are also already fairly well established, from Omega Chess (1992) and Pierre Monréal's fairy chess problems (1965). As for the Ferz-Sorcerer, I was rather hoping for a more colorful name, especially an animal one (given the Goshawk).
Thanks for the note on that, though. :)
giving a name of a particular type of dog (or a cow, or a horse) is not a good idea imo. I would prefer a name of an animal, I don't know, a pronghorn, elk, ... or anyone else if those exist already
That's probably true. But something as unlikely as that, anyway.
(Prairie Dog? Housefly? Goldfish?)

The Goshawk is an interesting little piece. Now if only I could find a good FZ piece to go with it....
