Another situation, addressed by Retreating Chess but not here: is it permitted to move a King into check if it will slip back into safety at the end of the turn? (presumably (though not explicit even in Retreating Ch.) moving a K to a safe square whence it slips into check is forbidden)

I created a variant of this in ChessCraft where null moves are allowed, the King also slides, & different Pawns.
