There's a comment that was submitted negative seconds ago. Since we know time travelers don't exist, what caused this bug?

Random shot in the dark, I'm going to guess it's a time zone issue.  Database record of message is stamped wtih UTC whereas the web server that renders it is EST or something like that?

And I just checked the negative update time after my post and it showed exactly negative four hours, so almost certainly a time zone issue.

I have just reverted the two seconds_ago functions to their original code. I was tinkering with them, because I noticed an inaccuracy, but I haven't fixed it yet.
