I was wondering if there was a page that explained the rules somewhere on the internet. it looks good and id love to construct my own set, but need the rules.
Oops...last I checked, they hadn't posted the rules on their page, but now they have. That's good to know.
I am wondering if this game still 'feels' like regular chess. I think that is probably the biggest obstacle for most 3d chess games--they simply don't have the right feel. Does anyone know if this game is as playable as they claim?
This really is a great variation from normal chess, not enough people play it. Personally I enjoy it more than standard chess.
I have this set, and guests that know how to play chess pick this up in moments. The last comment from a couple of college kids was 'This was this coolest game of chess I've ever played.' (from his facebook page) Yes, it feels like regular chess, but in the all directions! Great game.
Savoylen, do you know of any way to contact whoever made the game?
The website has been down for some time and it would seem a shame for the rules of the game to disappear with the website, especially if it is as good as you say it is. If it is still being sold online then it would be good to update the link. If it isn't I wonder if the creator might be willing to share the rules on the Chess Variant Pages.
The creator is Max Chappell. I've created a Facebook page on his behalf.

There's also an intro video of sorts I posted there. There isn't anywhere online currently to buy the board but he does still sell them.
I'll make the instruction manual available on the FB page.7 comments displayed
