It bears a passing resemblance to my own Three Player Hex Shogi, but it is actually very different. Pieces don't move the same, the winning conditions are different, the board is larger, and overall the rules seem more complicated.

This game was briefly mentioned in New Rules for Classic Games. This really does seem like a cool way to overcome the petty diplomacy problem. I hope someone makes a zrf eventually.

Finally, he solution to the petty diplomacy problem. I haven't actually playtested it with anyone, but it really seems like it would work well.
