Well, a 5-side hexagon has 61 hexes, which is close enough. Maybe by giving three (alternating) corners of the hex board double names we can establish a 1-on-1 correspondence. Not sure if that's what you want, though.

I have pounded out considerably better rules for this game since 2009 and merely have submission issues. Pawns do not promote. Instead once they reach the last space of the column they 'wrap around' to the same space on the other board. Then procede in reverse direction. Essentialy going in a 'loop'. Pawns ALWAYS move in the same direction on their apropiate boards. So if 'pushed/pulled' through to the 'other' board they then reverse direction. Example. A pawn starting at A2 gets pushed through at A5. On the next turn the pawn now on the other board at A5 would procede TOWARD A1. Once at A1 (round) on its next turn it would goto A1(square) and then procede to A8.

Clarified adjacency rules in reguards to the king's summoning ability. Basicly Its the destination that needs to be adjacent to the king. So you have a shift in capabilities from one board to the other. On the square board you have 8 destinations to summon your pieces to. On the round board only 6. However the square board's spaces get cut down when the king is against an edge or in a corner. The round board has only 2 edges and no corners.
