'Kings are regular pieces, and may be captured like any other piece. However, they move like a regular Western Chess Queen, instead of the usual King move.' Why not just show a Queen for every player in the diagram and say that a physical King can be used to represent it? It is also worth saying that it can be played even more easily with Shogi physical pieces (using the obvious back-rank substitutions), as they can be arranged in four orientations.
