Just a funny board with 40 squares
February 1, 2000, Claude Chaunier sent the following email:This is to wish Hans a happy 40th year.Attached is a picture of a board I drew but didn't send for the contest because I find possible move rules hard to describe and play - "Over-complicated on a distorted board" David Pritchard would say. If you find a use for it, do not hesitate. It is a kind of torus in which the outside joins the inside, so that it looks infinite but there really are only 5x5-1 + 4x4 = 40 squares. Funny, isn't it?
