Crazyhouse
Crazyhouse is a two-player version of Bughouse, and it bears a striking resemblance to the Chess/Shogi hybrid Chessgi. Like Chessgi and Shogi, Crazyhouse is played with drops. The game is played with the orthodox chessboard and pieces, but captured pieces change sides and may be dropped back on the board on a subsequent turn. Consequently, it should be played with reversible pieces, two chess sets, or through a computer interface.
Rules
Crazyhouse follows the rules of regular Chess with the following exceptions:
- Captured pieces change sides and are held in hand by the capturing player, who may on a subsequent turn drop a captured piece back on the board.
- Except for Pawns, pieces held in hand may be dropped on any empty square.
- Pawns may be dropped on any empty square which is not part of the first or last rank.
- When a promoted piece is captured, it changes back into a Pawn before it is put in hand.
- It is legal to checkmate a King with a Pawn drop.

On March 21, 2001, the ZRF was updated to include the faux marble board pictured here. This board was made from fractals made to look like marble, not from real marble.
