8x8 Reversible Stairs-Chess

I designed the following Reversible 8x8 Stairs Chess as follows:

The chessboard is a 3D stairs, and the game is played like the usual 8x8 chess. Except, that the pieces (pawns) move along the stairs. The initial arrangement of pieces (pawns) is like those on board illustrated below. Two players oppose each other, one with white pieces, and the other with black pieces. The pawns move forwards along the stairs like those of the usual 8x8 chess. At the start of the game, they can move two squares at a time (optional).

Example:

   1. e2-e4 e7-e5 2. d2-d4 e5xd4
Also, the Knight, Rook, Bishop, Queen and King move and capture like those of the usual 8x8 chess (see paths of the pieces illustrated below).

The prise en passant and the [castling?] is optional.

Example:

   1. d2-d4 e7-e5 2. d4-d5 e5x d4 ep
Castling is like that of the usual 8x8 chess.
