Braves' Chess

This is my personal proposal to completely solve the problem of draws in chess. It is a solution intended to be respectful with chess tradition while at the same time eliminate the draw as a result of a chess game. I hope you like it.

This is the definitive version of Braves' Chess; I have deleted some superfluous rules and refined the scoring system.

Setup

Same as FIDE Chess.

Pieces

Same as FIDE Chess.

Rules

All the FIDE chess rules apply, except in the following aspects:

If FIDE rules dictate a draw, victory will be assigned to the player who keeps more pawns on the board in the final position. Promoted pawns still count as pawns.

If the tie persists, the last player whose pawns have outnumbered the opponents' during at least one ply wins. Or, which is exactly the same: if the number of pawns of both players is the same, thus keeping the tie, the last player to have captured a pawn loses.

In the unlikely case that no player has ever captured a pawn along the game, Black wins.
