Metapontum Peace Chess is a game invented by Hans Theo Frenkel for the purpose of promoting world peace. It is a cooperative Chess-similar game played on a hexagonal board with pieces having Chess-like movements. The purpose is to get one's pieces to the opposite side of the board by cooperating with the other player. Honor points (given to a player for helping the other place one of his pieces in its end square) and laureates (promoted "pawns") must be kept equal for both sides. Many different wooden boards and cardboard boards are available.
