Hexes Chess is a Hexagonal chess variant, on an elongated board with 54 hexes, using orthodox pieces. The game includes enhanced Pawn movement and castling.

The game is since end 2003 commercially available. The website of the game: http://www.hexesgames.com/ gives information on the available sets, how to order it, and more.

You can use this web site to play the game in manual mode. The Flash html file enforces the movement rules but does not provide computer play. The site provides nicely illustrated game description, piece movement, and game rules.
