Glinski's Hexagonal Chess presets for Game Courier
This preset uses Magnetic pieces on an automatically generated hexagonal board, rendered as a PNG file. You will be free to change the piece set and the board colors in any game you play. It uses Game Courier's standardized hex coordinates, enforces the rules of the game, and spots check, checkmate, and stalemate. Click on the image to use this preset.
This preset is new, as of 2014, and may have some bugs. Report any bugs to Fergus Duniho. Don't be afraid to try it even with possible bugs. The preset is stored in a separate file and may be updated without interrupting or breaking any games.
In the preset above, I have not used the official coordinate system for Glinski's Hexagonal Chess, because I wanted to automatically generate the board and describe legal moves with simple mathematics. If you care to use the official coordinate system, you can use this earlier preset below, which uses a graphic image for the board and does not enforce any rules.
