Infinite Ring Chess

Robert Bell sent us the following description of a possible chess variant, in 2002.

Infinite Ring Chess is an endless four sided loop with sixty-four magnetic squares and sixteen squares on each side in a 4×16 arrangement. There are the same pieces as orthodox chess and each move the same way. The image left below shows some examples of how Knights move.

The image right above shows how Bishops move around the board and if no other pieces impede, have unlimited movement.

The 16 segmented version above is an easier way to create the board with no curves.
