Any vetting of Chess variants has to be done by people who are seriously interested in Chess variants. FIDE's main interest is in preserving the integrity of Chess, not in entertaining alternatives to it. The main point I was making earlier can be summed up like this: If you neglect the development of your games, and you neglect the presentation of your games, and you neglect to provide software to play your games, and you neglect to play your games yourself, you're liable to find that other people will neglect your games too. So I encourage game inventors to invest time and attention into development, presentation, playtesting, and providing ZRFs or Game Courier presets.
