I have this problem too. /play/pbm/play.php?game=Almost+Chess&log=makov333-cvgameroom-2009-251-884
Actually, in this game: /play/pbm/play.php?game%3DShortRange+Courier+Chess%26log%3Ddavid_64-joejoyce-2008-353-191%26userid%3Djoejoyce I got David's last move yesterday - lost track of when I got it because I was trying to gain a little time in my tourney games. Note the last comment by David references the problem with this game: /play/pbm/play.php?game=Shatranj+Kamil+X&log=david_64-joejoyce-2008-208-890 So there absolutely is something wrong
I'll look into it when I have time. In the meantime, provide links to any of the games you're having a problem with.
Thanks, Fergus. These are the 2 games: /play/pbm/play.php?game%3DShortRange+Courier+Chess%26log%3Ddavid_64-joejoyce-2008-353-191%26userid%3Djoejoyce /play/pbm/play.php?game=Shatranj+Kamil+X&log=david_64-joejoyce-2008-208-890 Joe
Hello, Fergus. I hit the [Prt Scr] button after sending my latest move to Joe (less than 20 hours ago). The message sent to him mentions a grace period of 14 days and ends with: 'If you move before you run out of time, you will gain an extra two days.' So he was supposed to start off with more than 16 days on his clock. Yikes!
I would be happy to see both players in both games Joe has mentioned restart with ten weeks (70 days) credited. Whatever time advantage I held in the past is of no real consequence. - David Paulowich
The problem appears to have been caused by the Logs page, not by Game Courier itself. In the code for the logs page, I use a variable called $j where I use one called $i in the Game Courier code, and in the new code I copied over for handling mintime and maxtime, I used $i instead of $j. I also neglected to unset the variables $mintime and $maxtime after each log on the Logs page. These factors probably led to erroneous calculations of the time used. I corrected these bugs and reverted your game logs to their backups.
Thank you very much, Fergus; I appreciate it. David, thank you for the supporting comment. It's a pleasure to play against a gentleman.
