In terms of replies to 1. c4, the best reply right now looks to be 1. c4 Mh6, of all things.

An idea I had to have Rook + King, Knight + King, and Bishop + King on an 8x10 board After playtesting this idea, I didn’t like it: Not enough tactical fireworks
