Lines of Action is a board game, http://www.boardspace.net/loa/english/index.html.
Movement of Stone is reminiscent of Fourriere's Jack of Jacks & Witches. Also some conditional movement CVs invented afterwards ''91.5 Trillion...'' like #31 Acid-Base, http://www.chessvariants.org/index/displaycomment.php?commentid=18386. Also the similarity to Roberto Lavieri's Reducer in a way. Notice as in Problem 2 of ZOA, King leaps become Conway Angel to any empty square. A grandmaster (Reshevsky) has another Zonal Chess, http://www.chessvariants.org/shape.dir/zonal/zonal.html. The same Lavieri has Zone X of the etymological root, http://www.chessvariants.org/diffmove.dir/zonex.html, without either Jack or Reducer piece-types. After ''Zone'' in alphabet could be ''Zoo'' and not many others. Practically Zones of Action has no zones but conveys the idea.
