I purchased PlunderChess for my son and daughter at the 2004 National
Youth
Action Tournament in Hershey PA.
It made an excellent Christmas present--ranked by my son and daughter as
the best of their Christmas presents--and has been in use, again and
again, in the following months.
Clever design.  Effective implementation.  Challenging and fun.
