Chu Shogi is a historical large Shogi variant that was the dominant form of Chess in Japan for many centuries, until the invention of piece drops caused it to be replaced by modern Shogi. The following is the old version of the Chu Shogi Applet, which is based on H. G. Muller's Interactive DIagrams.
