Crazy 38's

This page contains one or more presets for playing a game online with Game Courier, an online server for playing Chess variants by correspondence.

This is a preset for Ben Good's 38 square chess variant: Crazy 38's. Many thanks for Tony Quintanilla for uploading the board's image to the site. This preset wouldn't have been done without him. Click here to start the preset. To store pieces after capture, use the slots : W1-W14 if you're White, or B1-B14 if you're black. For example if white moves a pawn from h6 to f6 capturing a black knight, he should type : (( P h6-f6 ; N-W1 // PxN )). To promote a pawn use the symbol Q. There is a maximum of 14 slots to store piece per player. If you happen to need more, you're probably not playing the right way!! The notation is the notation used by Ben Good. To know the location of a square just hover the Mouse over it. And, yes, one final thing : the Golden General and the Silver General do NOT move as they do in Shogi. Check the rules before playing.
