Disintegration Chess

This page contains one or more presets for playing a game online with Game Courier, an online server for playing Chess variants by correspondence.

Logs for Disintegration Chess. This is a workable pre-set for the Disintegration Chess game, an entry in the 45/46 square contest. This preset uses Windmills as Fye'tins [they do look a bit alike]. Plans are to make a second preset option with pieces and board more closely resembling those seen in the rules. The game is fairly easy to play. A King or Kings in check disintegrate. There is no time to move them or block them once in check. The Fye'tin is sort of a reverse Templar. Fye'tins slide 1 or 2 spaces horizontal or vertical; or they can leap over one square diagonally (like an elephant). They capture by displacement (or in the case of Kings, checking them). Pawns are as in western chess (but A and E pawns have no initial double move)... pawn promotion is to Rook or Fye'tin. When Black's last king is gone he gets one last turn as an attempt to tie the game. Win by disintegrating your opponents 3 kings and retaining at least 1 of your own kings. See complete rules.
