Centaur Royal and Double Centaur Royal
This is a rules file for Zillions of Games, a Windows program that will let you play any puzzle or strategy board game you can feed it the rules to. With Zillions-of-Games installed, this rules file will let you play this game against your computer.
CENTAUR ROYAL and DOUBLE CENTAUR ROYAL by V. R. Parton
Centaur Royal is played on a 10x10 field.
PAWN(P) steps one forward orthogonal without capture, or one forward diagonal with capture. May perform an initial two step forward orthgonal move. En passant rules apply. Freely promotes to either BISHOP, ROOK or QUEEN upon reaching farthest rank.
BISHOP(B) slides diagonal.
ROOK(R) slides orthogonal.
QUEEN(Q) slides orthogonal or diagonal.
CENTAUR ROYAL(C) leaps one orthogonal then one diagonal to a cell not adjacent.
The game is won by capturing the last opposing CENTAUR ROYAL.
